Join the DANONE GAINS Study for parents with toddlers (12–24 months)
Contribute to research on young children’s growth and learn more about your own child’s development.
Why this study?
Your child’s growth provides important insights into their health. During the toddler stage (12–24 months), a lot changes: they start walking, eat differently, and grow at a new pace. Measuring length and weight at home is often challenging.
That’s why Danone Nutricia Research has developed smart technology that uses photos to estimate young children’s length and weight. To improve this method, we need data from children in Europe – and we are looking for parents who would like to take part.
Who is this study for?
You may be eligible to take part in this study if:
- Your child is aged 12 to 24 months old;
- You have access to the internet;
- You have a smartphone or tablet to take and upload photos, videos, and complete questionnaires.
What happens if you take part?
You and your child will visit the clinic once. This visit takes about one hour.
During this visit:
- We measure your child’s length and weight (as done at the child health clinic)
- The research team takes photos and short videos of your child while lying on their back
- You, as a parent, also take a few photos and short videos of your child
- You complete a short questionnaire
Want to take part more than once? That’s possible! You can participate again after at least one month, as long as your child is between 12 and 24 months old.
What do you get as a parent?
- Accurate information about your child’s growth
- All study procedures free of charge
- A €50 reimbursement (including travel costs) per participation
